I am selling my Aaton LTR54 and wanted to offer it to this board before she is thrown to the dogs on eBay. The package is complete and the mags have just been overhauled by Abel Cine(Only Aaton agents in the USA). The camera is in top running order.

Email me for picture and details.

    Thanks

    Alex--
You assume that by selling my camera I am not shooting film. Which is very false. You also assume that I don't visit your board. I do read the posts there from time to time.

    VT220--
I am shooting with more rentals but I am not going to shoot with them all the time. The time I shoot rentals is when the director wants to. For instance I am on a dreaded Panavision project right now. The director will have nothing less than a Panavision camera on the set. I am selling my camera to buy another Aaton. I hope to get the 35III.

I have the camera priced to move and would love to sell it before it gets to the eBay point.

    Thanks

The reason I am thinking of going 35mm is--I can afford to.

I am getting enough jobs that demand for 35mm that it is stupid of me not to be renting out my camera to the people that are hiring me.

That is not selling my Super16 short at all.

I love it to death--I would like to keep it. However, when it sits 10 months a year--Why not sell it to some one to use it for the same ends I did. I bought it to get jobs and it got me those. Now it is time to move on.

I hope that some one else will use it for the same means because it is a great camera to get a foot in with.

    Good Luck

I don't think I said that at all. The link I provided was to a story about a cameraperson who shot Super-16 and parlayed that into a very successful career on a hit TV Show for NBC.

From a sales point of view, by leaving out the part about moving up to a bigger film format as the reason youi are selling your camera, you may be "devaluing" the camera you are selling.

Nigel. You're not getting what I'm saying.

If your 16mm camera has provided a gateway to you now filming with a 35mm camera, then by all means mention that when selling your 16mm equipment, OTHERWISE, you are shortchanging your 16mm equipment.

A picture of your gear on a bed, and no **** actress anywhere near. I'd have gone for a picture of your gear in a more professional environment. Not that you asked, but I did like your description.

Did you consider posting a couple of film frame images that were shot with the camera, or a picture of your camera in a more "professional" setting?
